Wave farewell to Taco Bell’s most cult-status menu items

We know many of you love your late-night Taco Bell runs. Or those random taco cravings that only Taco Bell can seem to satisfy.  That’s why it is with a heavy heart that we announce that some of the Bell’s cherished menu items are going away very, very soon.

Starting September 12, say goodbye to:

Chips and salsa
Beefy Mini Quesadilla
Chipotle Chicken Loaded Griller
Double Decker Taco
Double Tostada
Power Menu Burrito
XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito

And in what may be the unkindest cut of all, especially to a style of customer that haunts Taco Bell after a certain hour:

Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco
Fiery Doritos Locos Taco

That’s right. R.I.P. Doritos tacos. We hardly knew ye. If you want to experience the chip dust on your hard shell from this point forward, you will have to dump a bag of Doritos into the taco yourself.

All this comes at the same time as Taco Bell unveils their “new menu look.”

With fall around the corner, the fast food chain thought this would be a good time to bring in the new season with style.

Here’s their before & after pictures:

How are they explaining the change?

“As you can see, we gave our menu a brand new look-and-feel to help make ordering easier. It’s kind of like our version of decluttering a closet. We removed some items and updated it with a craveable assortment that includes best-sellers and updated combo options. For example, for those of you who only order the 3 Crunchy Taco Supreme Combo #3, your new favorite number is #1.”

You can read more about what Taco Bell has to say about their menu chances here.

Menu’s will change on September 12th, the same day they’re removing the menu items listed above.

Let us know, which menu items will be mourning when they’re gone?
