It's a match made in heaven!
Dr. Pepper was created in Waco, Texas in 1885 and has since been the unofficial state drink of The Lone Star State. But could that soon change?
Dr. Pepper representatives have sent in a formal petition to Texas officials requesting to become the official soft drink of Texas.
So is it a coincidence that Texas’ favorite fast food restaurant has teamed up with the soda company to create a never before menu item? Probably, but it’s still worth celebrating!
Whataburger recently announced some new and returning additions to their menu including a Dr. Pepper Shake!!
Made with pure Dr Pepper syrup, this shake has that classic Dr Pepper flavor with a small-town diner feel.

It’s only available for a limited time in parts of Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma.
Can Texas get more Texas?

And in a fan favorite throw back moment, the fast food chain also announced they’re bringing back their Buffalo Ranch Chicken Strip Sandwich.
This mouthwatering sandwich is a fan favorite, and comes layered with three crispy all-white meat chicken strips and two slices of Monterey Jack cheese. Then, it’s topped off with creamy buttermilk ranch and Whataburger’s own Buffalo Sauce—all served on a toasted five-inch bun.
If you’re a fan, don’t worry this sandwich is returning to menus everywhere as an All-Time Favorite.
