Which Pixar Movie Does Texas Love Most?

Who is ready for this week’s release of Incredibles 2?! The film premieres on June 15, making it Pixar’s twentieth film. Pixar has produced some amazing movies, starting with Toy Story in 1995, and we’re super pumped to see how this latest movie will do.

To celebrate the upcoming box office release, analysts created a report breaking down each state’s favorite Pixar film. Can you guess which was the most popular in Texas?

If it’s true that everything’s bigger in the Lone Star State, then us Texans really hit the nail on the head by enjoying a top-grossing Pixar movie the most.

Monsters Inc. ranks top five in box office smash hits with a gross profit total of $804.7 million — WOW!

Here are some other fun facts:

  • The most popular movie was Finding Dory which was a favorite of 17 states
  • Apparently Utah loves Pixar because there was a SEVEN-WAY tie for the favorite film.
  • Coco was a top favorite for California.
  • And each Pixar sequel is at least as popular as the first movie of its series, if not more so. For example, Finding Dory is more than eight times as popular as Finding Nemo.

To determine each state’s favorite film, analysts cross-referenced each of Pixar’s 19 titles with national Google Trends data to discover which movie people in your region show the most interest in.

What do you think about Texas’ favorite Pixar movie? Does it match with your own? Let us know on Facebook.
