Greenwood’s Year ‘Round Christmas store spreads cheer to East Texas all year! Don and Jan Greenwood began collecting Christmas ornaments nearly 4 decades ago, and in 1999 decided to open a store in Downtown Gladewater completely dedicated to Christmas.

Inside Greenwood’s you will find thousands of ornaments, both collectible and recreational. The Greenwood’s have a Christmas tree, visible from the street, that is filled with Christopher Radko ornaments. Don Greenwood consider’s Radko’s ornaments the “Rolls Royce” of Christmas ornaments because each piece is crafted and painted by hand.

You will also find hundreds of Old World Christmas glass ornaments. Greenwood describes these as your “everyday life” ornaments because you can seriously find just about anything you want in ornament form. They have animals, both domestic and exotic, careers, snowmen, angels, flowers, oods (including cauliflower, bacon, peanut butter, asparagus, apples etc.). Seriously, everything.

And one of our favorite part of walking around Greenwood’s was chatting with Don about the stories and legends behind so many of the ornaments. Like the Christmas Spider Ornament.

You can also find an entire wall of Department 56 villages. Both Christmas and Halloween. And there’s an entire wall of Jim Shore merchandise, too.

Greenwood’s is open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Thursdays – Saturdays.

They’re located at 111 E Pacific Avenue in Gladewater.
