Wilkins Log Cabin
The East Texas Weekend Preview — Worn and weathered, but proudly remaining.
In 1852, this tiny structure took shape by the hands of East Texan, Jefferson Maynard.
Placed just outside of Commerce, it served as a family home for decades until it was purchased by David Wilkins for a similar purpose.
Today, the cabin now rests on the grounds of the Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum as an exhibit.
Tour and touch this piece of local history that signifies the early days of East Texas living.
